Onshi Hakone Park/Cherry Blossoms

Onshi Hakone Park is a spacious facility surrounded by Lake Ashi. It is also famous as a cherry blossom destination, as it is filled with various types of cherry trees such as Fuji, Oshima and Yoshino. The park was constructed at the former site of the Imperial Hakone Palace, with the Western-style Lakeside Observation Building in the central square. Lake Ashi, Komagatake and Mt. Fuji can be viewed from the balcony, along with the cherry trees. The scenery changes with the seasons, with the famous cherry blossoms in bloom from mid-April to early May.
