Mt. Taikanzan has an altitude of 1,015 m and can be viewed from the Anest Iwata Sky Lounge drive-in located on the Hakone Turnpike Yugawara toll road (aka “Turnpike”). From the summit, you can enjoy an unobstructed view of the surroundings, including the slopes of Mt. Taikanzan itself, Lake Ashi and Mt. Fuji, Mt. Komagatake, and other central volcanic peaks of the Hakone Mountain Range, as well as outer mountains such as Mt. Kintoki, and even the Southern Alps, the Miura Peninsula, the Boso Peninsula, and Oshima Island in the distance.

Location
Take the Hakone Tozan bus (22 minutes on the R Line, 41 minutes on the H Line) from Hakone Yumoto Station (OH51) and get off at Hakonemachi-ko bus stop (OH67), then take a bus headed for Yugawara Station for 8 minutes and get off at Taikanzan bus stop.
