OKADA MUSEUM OF ART is an art museum storing an Eastern art collection centered around Japanese paintings and ceramics. Thoroughly appreciate works of art in a quiet 5,000㎡ exhibition room with 450 pieces always on display. Japan’s leading artists including Katsushika Hokusai, Kitagawa Utamaro, Tawaraya Sotatsu, and Ito Jakuchu,all have their artwork on display here so this museum is definitely a must-see. After enjoying the exhibits, be healed by the murmuring of the stream in the spacious garden on the grounds. The footbath café is another popular spot. Soak your feet in the hot spring, then lift your head to find a large wall painting before you! This painting is called “Fujin-Raijin” (the wind and thunder god respectively), and is known for being a frequent motif in Japanese art. A restaurant is also located on the grounds, making this an art museum you can enjoy your entire day in.
