Cha no Chimoto is a café where you can enjoy wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) with tea. They are known for wagashi that is made without the use of food additives when possible to allow the delicious taste of its ingredients to shine. Their products are not made beforehand but are always served made to order. Comfortably eat the wagashi and tea set in a space conceptualized to be “like a cocoon where the cherry blossoms are fluttering.” Takeout wagashi are sold at Chimoto, the wagashi shop next door. Yumochi, a rice cake with minced yokan (azuki bean jelly) inside, is the must-try signature product of the café.
