Exit from the front of the bus, paying the fare as you leave. When your stop approaches, press the buzzer to let the driver know you want to get off at the next stop. When getting off the bus, show the driver your Hakone Freepass or place the appropriate fare in the fare collection box.

How do I pay the bus fare? |
 |

If you are not using the Hakone Freepass, take a boarding ticket from the ticket dispenser at the door when you board the bus. Before getting off, check the number on your boarding ticket against the fare chart at the front of the bus and place the appropriate fare in the fare collection box along with the boarding ticket. Exact change is required, so please obtain change before getting on the bus.
