The casual resort hotel Odakyu Hakone Lake Hotel "YUBO MAYU NO MORI" is an onsen facility near Ashinoko Lake. The hot spring is available for use not only for the guests to the hotel, but for people only visit for the day as well. The neutral mineral water is very gentle on the skin, and is believed to have beneficial effect on the nerve pain and joint pain. Another alluring trait of this onsen is the rotenburo (open-air bath), which, surrounded by the Hakone woods, provides a liberating and relaxing atmosphere. You can try out various types of baths such as the kinu no yu hot carbonated spring (micro-bubble bath), the tsubo-yu (jar bath), and the steam sauna with a cocoon motif - each will allow you absorb the beautiful nature of Hakone in a comfortable and easy-going ambiance. There is no need to panic if you’ve come unprepared or empty-handed - there are towels and yukatas (light cotton kimono) available for an additional fee. People with tattoos not allowed to enter the hot springs.
