Hakone’s onsen (hot springs), dubbed the “Twenty Hot Springs of Hakone”, all have different properties. The newly established daytrip spot Takogawa Onsen, which is part of Ryuguden Honkan, is the only onsen in Hakone where you can see both Lake Ashi and Mount Fuji from the same viewpoint. The building the onsen is in is listed as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan and was originally a Japanese inn. It was renovated and remade into an onsen in 2017. This hot spring is a great choice if you’re looking for relief from nerve pain, muscle pain or joint pain, and also has a one-of-a-kind view.
