About seventy shops, including restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops, line Hakone-Yumoto Shotengai, located near Hakone-Yumoto Station. Visitors can enjoy dining and shopping while strolling through the town renowned for its hot springs. Japanese-style snacks such as onsen manju (buns filled with red bean paste) and kamaboko, a processed seafood product, are well-known souvenirs. Yosegi zaiku (wooden mosaic work), a local handcraft, is also famous. Visitors may have a hard time choosing which souvenir to take home. If you get tired from walking around, take a break at a cafe. There are also hot spring facilities nearby available for day trippers. Hakonemachi Tourist Information Center is also near the station, and has English, Chinese and Korean speaking staff. Visitors can also receive maps at the center.
